Tambour
Elite Stallion Tambour descends from Trakehnen's Tapete family through the great Totilas daughter Tip-Top.
His granddam, Elite Mare Tilsit III by Herzbube produced three approved stallions with Tenor, Tivano and Tuareg, all three of them Elite Sires.

His dam, Premium and State Premium Mare Tänzerin by Consul was the best 3yo at her inspection in 1991, overall champion at the State Mare Show Schleswig-Holstein 1994 in Bad Segeberg as well as reserve champion 6yo mare during the National Mare Show 1994 in Warendorf. During her career as a broodmare, she produced three approved stallions in Tambour, Thalys and Travell.
Tambour's sire Hohenstein also carries the title Elite Sire just as his own sire Caprimond and last but not least Tambour's damsire Consul.
True to his pedigree, Tambour already has proven himself as a sire of high scoring foals and premium mares. In 2005, his first two sons were approved in Neumünster, among them the jumper sensation Herzog and approval champion and sales topper Herzensdieb (275.000 Euro). One year later those two showed that their approval was no fluke, Herzensdieb completing his stallion performance test as the reserve champion in Schlieckau, Herzog winning the jumping part and the entire stallion performance test in Marbach, his stall neighbor Kasimir coming in scond.

Not to be outdone, Tambour's daughters did equally well in 2006, with Zaubermelodie earning the title of mare champion at Neumünster.

His overall index of 143 for his offspring earned Tambour 2nd place among all Trakehner sires, his mare index shows scores of 148 for type, 157 for upper body, 143 for general impression and 147 for canter, second best among all stallions.
Herzensdieb's full sister Herzenstraum, bred by Gestüt Panker, is just one example of Tambour's qualities as a broodmare sire.
